Abstract:
The collection of articles contained in this book address questions pertaining to the teaching and research in Economics in Eastern Africa. The issues raised by the authors have the following broad objectives:
- to evaluate the role of economics discipline in Eastern Africa
- to discuss the teaching and research of economics in the region, with particular attention to the structure of, concepts and application of courses and curricula
- to consider the current state and the future of economics discipline in Eastern Africa and;
- to consider the current state and the future of economics discipline in Eastern Africa
- to discuss immediate and long-term areas of cooperation among the economics departments in the region
