5S Ethiopia Project Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ethiopian Sociology, Social Works and Social Anthropology Association (ESSSWA)
A Memorandum of Understanding is signed between the 5S foundation Ethiopia project and the Ethiopian Sociology, Social Anthropology and Social Works Association (ESSSWA). The main purpose of the MoU is to promote mutual cooperation between the Social Sciences for Severe Stigmatizing Skin Diseases Foundation Ethiopia (5S Eth) and the Ethiopian Society of Sociologists, Social Workers and Anthropologists (ESSSWA) in the areas of training and capacity building of ESSSWA members and regional chapters, strengthening ESSSWA’s Institutional Board (IRB), supporting ESSSWA’s conference, workshops and knowledge sharing forum activities and other related issues in social science research.
• To establish sustainable cooperation and partnership between the Social Sciences for Severe Stigmatizing Skin Diseases Foundation Ethiopia (5S Eth) and the Ethiopian Society of Sociologists, Social Workers and Anthropologists (ESSSWA).
• To cooperate and work together in the area of training and capacity building in social science research and ethics.
• To advance high quality research in the field of social science by taking all ethical principles into consideration.
• To establish a system of professional based training and research i.e. needs assessment, impact assessment and problem based research by the two parties.
• Exchange information and collaborate to organize training, conferences, knowledge sharing forums and workshops.
• Cooperate in multiple ways in efforts to enhance the capacity of ESSSWA members and regional chapters.
• Strengthen ESSSWA’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).
• Promote professional development of ESSSWA members.
• To increase visibility of ESSSWA and 5S Ethiopia project.
• To share resources of the two parties.
• Work together on other related issues as necessary.
